Jewelry Box Makeover

Today I decided to spend the day being creative by giving my childhood jewelry box a new, adult makeover.

This is what it looked like before ...

And here it is after a coat of paint.

I am really pleased with the color! The paint I used is a Valspar Color Sampler from Lowe's. - I think it is perfect for little projects like this one! 

"La Fonda Mindoro" is the color I used.

A Caterpillar Kind of Sunday

I've been getting lucky lately when it comes to capturing amazing looking critters. First it was that amazing looking leaf bug, then a beautiful moth, and now this cool looking caterpillar!

After the rain

After a rainy morning, I spotted this little fellow on top of an upside-down pot. I was lucky to get this shot before it flew off. 

Just look at the amazing colors on its wings!

Perfect Day for a Rainy Day

Today has been the perfect day for a rainy day! 

The nice cool breeze, fresh air, the sound of rain and thunder - all the things I love about a rainy day. Plus it's a good chance to take photos!

This busy bee has been at this Hummer bird feeder all day!

I'm really amazed at this little guy! 

Can you spot him? 

He's a Tettigoniidae, also known as Katydid! 

I can't get over how much he looks like a leaf.
