It only took 7!

It took 7 little hearts...

28 little paws...

14 itty bitty little floppy ears...

To make me realize that even though things are tough right now, there's still time to smile. Two days ago I was feeling so down inside. Crying that I was spending Twix's 5th birthday without her (Two birthdays have passed since she's been missing) and also because Laurel had been gone a year. After seeing the puppies being born yesterday, it really made me think. Instead of shedding tears over Twix and my friend, I should have spent the day celebrating the memories they gave me. I should have remembered those memories with a smile and felt thankful that I had them.

Because of these 7 little ones, I will spend everyday doing just that. Remembering memories with a smile, and feeling grateful for the lives I have in my life. Family & friends, including pets, should be cherished everyday.

I took some more pictures of the puppies today. The little one pictured on the right is Sarah's only daughter. Yesterday, when I held her for the first time, I decide to name her "Trixie". I felt it was perfect since she was born a day after Twix's birthday. I changed the way it was spelled, but with all the excitement, I didn't think of how I would feel when her name was spoken. The words went through me and ripped my heart out. So, after giving it much thought, I decided to give the little girl a name of her own. - Naming her Lily Hope.

I'm already head over paws for these 7 little babies, especially for Lily Hope. I could watch them all day!
